We all know that the extremely low bank interest rates couldn’t stay for ever and when it was raised by a minute bit this week after ten years, there was panic and gloom throughout the land. Newspapers and radio broadcasters were head in hand and moaning about the situation. The underlying point though seems to have been lost – there needs to be movement in the housing market and also a steadying hand on the credit using explosion. There have been several houses change hands in recent months near me. Several others down on the old part of town have also shifted or had major works carried out on them.
There is evidently still cash around for doing projects. Whatever our situation, great care needs to be taken to research companies, ensuring they are thoroughly experienced in all aspects of building law, local planning requirements, health and safety etc. It’s our money and our life in many cases!
