Extra Care Services

Domestic assistance

Within the service charge there is provision for 1 Hr per week domestic assistance to every occupied apartment to cover tasks such as;

• Apartment vacuuming and cleaning
• Changing of bedding
• Washing and ironing
• Dealing with household refuse
• General tidying
• Managing heating systems
• Shopping
• Administration, bill paying, pension collecting
  and banking on clients advice.

Additional domestic assistance can be purchased
based upon an hourly rate.

Personal Care provision

Personal Care is available from an appointed Care agency. Provision of services can be tailored to meet individual needs with the costs met by the resident.

• Evening/Night care
• Assistance with getting up/going to bed
• Assistance with dressing/undressing
• Assistance with bathing and personal grooming and skincare
• Assistance with meal preparation and dining
• Help with surgical aids/dressings/surgical stockings
• Help during periods of convalescence from illness
• Help with prescribed rehabilitation or exercise programmes
• Monitoring (but not administering) medications.
